Sometimes it runs you.  Use this experience now to go out and own the course next year.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Interestingly, I had a similar converse experience.  Last year, I'd trained for months and months only to fail myself and perform terribly at the Nashville half-marathon.  This year, I didn't even know I was running the Pgh Half until 3 days before when a registrant got sick and I took her place. I had the best run of my life.
